Reporting Lines: Within Table Mountain National Park, you will report to the appropriate line managers.

They also hope to foster cooperation with surrounding communities for educational and socioeconomic gains, and to involve South Africans in ecological programs.

Obligations and liabilities:

Within Table Mountain National Park, the General Workers will be in charge of a variety of responsibilities including upkeep, cleaning, administrative work, admissions management, and more. The tasks consist of:

• General park care and upkeep.
• cleaning of public spaces and facilities.
• Simple administrative duties.
• Helping to monitor admissions.
• Upkeep of tourist attractions.
• Removal and cleansing of refuse.
• Basic access control and traffic management.
• Sharing of information.
• Control of wildfires if necessary.
• Patrols, examinations, and more irregular duties.

Conditions:

You should fulfill the following prerequisites in order to be qualified for these positions:

• Grade 12.
• a year or two of hands-on experience in a comparable workplace.
• fundamental understanding of first aid and occupational health and safety.
• Having a current driver’s license is an extra benefit.
• Tax Reference for SARS.
• No criminal history.
• proficiency in the local languages as well as English.
• To work long hours on your feet in a variety of weather situations, you must be physically fit.
• Willingness to work on weekendsAbility to work public holidays and weekends between January 15, 2024, and December 15, 2023, depending on operational needs.
