Customer Assistant

Requirements
- English
- Available and flexible to work different shifts
- Relevant years of experience with direct selling of liquor in the Retail or Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry
- Demonstrates self-discipline with regards to attendance, dress code policy, hygiene and time-keeping
- Be able to work independently
Responsibilities
- Offers alternatives to the customer if the product is not available
- Actively approaches customers and confidently meets their needs and expectations by asking, listening to and advising customers as to options/services/products available
- Maximize sales and ensures stock availability in the department by communicating to relevant stakeholders
- Perform all aspects on the point of sale system for the selling of merchandise
- Must have knowledge of or ability to learn products and make recommendations
- Creates product awareness and exposure of available ranges by doing demos
- Use product knowledge to suggest buying options (wine, beer and spirits)
- Ensure that the department is stocked and has visually appealing displays
- Interacts in a professional manner with customers
- Ensure stock rotation disciplines are adhered to
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards
